Years of Experience. Proven Results.
Criminal convictions can sometimes have serious and unexpected consequences that last long after you’ve served your sentence. Certain criminal convictions can result in deportation or an inability to change your immigration status, mandated registration with the Sex Offender Registry Board, or loss of the right to carry a firearm. Laura can review your case to see if any post-conviction relief, such as a motion for new trial, motion to vacate plea or motion to correct sentence can be filed.
One of Laura's areas of focus is vacating convictions for non-citizens who find themselves placed in deportation proceedings in Immigration Court. Laura has successfully vacated many convictions so that her clients are no longer deportable, or has restructured sentences so that her clients are at least eligible for discretionary relief in Immigration Court.
